xmasbulb1 (1 of 1)

I know.  It’s just an apple.  But this is the very first picture I took with my new camera.  I was so excited, I pretty much grabbed the first test subject that would stand still and be patient.  Right away, I can tell a HUGE difference in the quality of my pictures between the powershot and the SLR I got on Saturday.  I hope that all my pictures will be much better now.

Take a look at some others:

These are from my christmas tree that we decorated yesterday.  After I got the hang of taking those, I took a couple of my animals.  This one happens to be my favorite:
greeneyedgoose (1 of 1)

Doesn’t he look like he’s the boss?

More to come when I have something interesting to post….

I promise, no more apples.

I have no excuse to not post here anymore. Right before our annual Allegheny get together, I realized my camera was done. I was not happy at first-but it turned out to be a good thing because we went out on Saturday and got an awesome camera.  I started messing around with it tonite, so hopefully I will be posting some new stuff soon.

My best friend closed his eyes last night,
As his head was in my hand.
The Doctors said he was in pain,
And it was hard for him to stand.

The thoughts that scurried through my head,
As I cradled him in my arms.
Were of his younger, puppy years,
And OH…his many charms.

Today, there was no gentle nudge
With an intense “I love you gaze”,
Only a heart thats filled with tears
Remembering our joy filled days.

But an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, “You should cry no more,
GOD also loves our canine friends,
HE’s installed a ‘doggy-door”!

My wife posted some wedding pics below and the rest in the gallery. However, much of the story was missed. Despite some snow squalls in the afternoon, the wedding went really well, and I wish Emily and Sean the best. Plus, they’re heading to the beach and I’m staring at snow out my window…. what could be bad?

The best part? Well, not the best, but a somewhat memorable end of the evening. Deuce was fairly well behaved the entire night, but around 10 he started getting a little upset and what we thought was just tired. Then he just kinda threw up everywhere. He brought home a stomach bug from school and it just let loose at the end of the evening. That cut our evening short as we headed home to get him bathed and in bed. His night that night consisted of getting up 3 more times. He pretty much recovered by Sunday morning, so it was a pretty short bug. He also succeeded in giving it to me, which meant I spent Sunday night losing 3 pounds. It seems to have skipped Dana, although her daily Lysol baths may have something to do with it.

The funny part? As Dana was downloading and touching up the photos from the wedding, Deuce saw some of the photos from the reception and said “I was sick there!” While my memories of my sister’s wedding and reception will be much more pleasant, all Deuce remembers is he got sick there… We’ll have to make sure he knows some of the better memories.
